I'm So Excited! Kindle is on it's way!

Last night I ordered my very own Kindle! Now, I have absolutely NO intention of doing away with books completely uhh-uhh not happening. I love books and I can't imagine never reading a real book again. Plus I am an extreme bargain hunter and I find a lot of my books at used bookstores, Goodwill, library sales, paperbackswap, and swaptree. However, there are sometimes great deals on e-books and some places that send out Advanced Reading Copies in e-book form and I HATE reading on the computer so I broke down and went for a Kindle. I have thirty days to decide if I love it or not, and I intend to test this thing to the limit. So if you have a Kindle I would love to know, love it or hate it, or just wish you hadn't messed with it? Anything else that you think I should know about it would be welcome information as well. I'll be back in thirty days with my review of the Amazon Kindle. Have a great weekend everyone!! I'm heading for the beach in the morning.

  1. I've been debating this for e-book ARCs, too. I'm getting more and more tempted all the time, but still not quite there yet. Will look forward to hearing what you think in the next month.

  2. I keep debating it as well. Will be following you and I'm sure I'll be looking for those comments on how you like it for use with the ARC's that are available online. :)

  3. I've tried the Kindle and actually quite enjoyed it. As a print purist, I never thought I'd say that, but over the last couple of weeks, I got to play with quite a variety of E-readers and really took to it. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it though. When your review is up, let me know :)

  5. Candace I've not yet decided on the Kindle. I'm also looking at the nook still pricey though and the sony pocket ereader more affordable. The kobo looks great too. i'll have to look into that one again to remind myself which formats it supports. Let me know what you think just in case I'm not happy with any of the other ones that I'm currently checking out.
