Ereader Apps and Free E-books

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, and ereader.com, all offer free apps for your iphone, mac, pc, blackberry, ipad, and your android.  Not only can you get these apps for free but they all offer lots of free ebooks from classics to newer authors trying to get noticed.  I've read quite a few of these free books and some of them have been better than expected.

Right now a few of the books that you can download at Amazon.com are
Triple Exposure by Colleen Thompson
Divorced, Desperate, and Dating by Christie Craig
The Pawn by Steven James
Somewhere to Belong by Judith Miller
The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox
Darkness on the Edge of Town by Brian Keene
Crimson City by Liz Maverick

Right now at Barnes & Noble a few you can download are
Hour of the Hunter by J.A. Jance
The Glades by Clifton Campbell
Marked by Elisabeth Naughton
The Wicked House of Rohan by Anne Stuart
The Girl on the Beach by Charles Todd
Soul Identity by Dennis Batchelder
The Blood That Bonds by Christopher Buecheler (I've read this one and really liked it.)

So go out and enjoy some free reads!

  1. They all sound good but my only problem is that reading online kills my eyesight. Such a pity too since I could read so many books online.

Damn these eyes! But thanks for sharing! =D

  2. I have the Nook App on my IMac and the Kindle App as well and already have gotten most of the books you have on your free lists Shari, thanks for the heads up on the ones I do not have...

I have to admit to only reading 3 of the e-books so far and I already have about 100 more but like Michael said online reading kills my eyes.... I will get my readers changed soon and hopefully start some of my "free" books...

  3. I never enjoyed reading on the computer either but would read on my iphone, especially at night. I finally broke down and bought a nook and it is amazing. Not hard on the eyes at all. I've heard rumors that some of the ereaders will down to 99.00 around Christmas time. I truly can't say enough great things about the nook. Shari
