Summary from Goodreads:
Lil has come to terms
with her life as a Guardian/demon hunter and the wielder of the Nephilim
most powerful weapon-the Kris Dagger. She trains everyday to master her
growing powers, gets along with her Guardian trainee friends, most of
the time, and cherishes the time she spends with her human friends.
Just
when she feels she belongs, her nature-bender father contacts her and
warns her about a betrayal by someone close to her. Then Bran, the boy
she loves, starts to act strange and one of her human friends acquires a
supernatural ability. While Lil struggles find a connection between
these three things, she begins to realize that someone is manipulating
her and will stop at nothing, including hurting those she loves, to lure
her to the dark side.
This Book Is AMAZING!
Ednah Walters has captivated me once again with her amazing characters and wonderful storytelling. With even more action, heartache, trouble, mayhem, betrayal, and angst than Awakened, Betrayed has definitely exceeded my expectations!
What to LOVE about Betrayed:
The characters - they are simply amazing, they each have such distinctive personalities that even if you weren't told who was saying something you would still know who said it. Like you were sitting in the room with them instead of reading a story about them.
The action - there are some great butt kicking scenes in this book. I also love that they are written in a way that I can keep up with what is going on and not have to read it over again to figure out where I missed something
The romance - is beautiful without being saccharine sweet. Plus NO love triangle, at least not yet.
What not to LOVE about Awakened:
I truly can't think of anything that I didn't love about this book. One of my favorite YA paranormal series so far.
I
have been looking forward to reading Betrayed since the minute I
finished Awakened. Ednah has done such an amazing job of writing a
fresh, unique YA paranormal romance. All of my favorite characters were
back, and Lil and Bran once again stole my heart. If you haven't yet picked these books up, you are seriously missing out.

Guest Post: Ednah Walters Author of Betrayed
Joining us today is Ednah Walters author of Awakened (Guardian Legacy #1) and Betrayed (Guardian Legacy #2).
Music, thou art my Muse
I love music, love listening and watching videos. Love dancing. In fact, my favorite workout is Zumba (after TRX). I love to write while listening to music. In fact, I get inspiration when I listen to music. Destiny’s Child song, Dangerously in Love kept me going when I wrote certain scenes in Awakened, book 1 of the Guardian Legacy. Recently while writing Betrayed, Breathless by Shayne inspired me to write the love scenes. Music can definitely set the stage for writing a scene.
Battle Scenes: Eye of the Tiger by Survivor,
Angst scenes: It’s my Life by Bon Jovi; Papa Don’t Preach by Madonna; Raise Your Glass by Pink; I’m Alive by Becca. Love is Battle Field by Pat Banatar
The party scene at the end of Betrayed: Lady in Red by Chris DeBurgh
Makeout scenes: Breathless by Shayne Ward; Just a Kiss by Lady Antebellum; Dangerously in love by Destiny’s Child.
What music inspires you? Brings you out of the dumps? Make you want to kick someone’s butt? Makes you think of your ex or your present boyfriend? Share please.
About Ednah:
I grew up reading Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries before I graduated to Mills & Boons (starting with Janet Daily's Shutter the Sky). I enjoy good love stories, tingly mysteries and wondrous adventures. When I finished college and decided to be a stay-at-home mother, I devoured books like they were going out of production, until reading just wasn't enough. So I decided to teach myself to write fiction. I've written picture books, contemporary and romantic suspense, biracial/multicultural books, and finally YA fantasy. Most of them are still taking up RAM on my computer. Awakened is the first book in The Guardian Legacy series. It was released in September 2011 with rave reviews. Betrayed (book 2 in the series) was released August 1st 2011. Hunted, book 3 in the series, is due out in March.
When I'm not knee deep in battles between Guardians and demons, I write adult contemporary romance (the Fitzgerald family series), sassy, stubborn and gutsy women anyone can identify with and men anyone would be proud to claim. When not writing, I do things with my family, five children or my darling husband of 19 years. I live in a picturesque valley in Utah, the setting for my YA series.

'Destroy the object of the evil spirit's obsession.' Yeah, that would be....me. I laughed, hysteria bubbling to surface making me sound demented.
