I began to watch for signs for Highway 44, which would take us to the ocean. I hadn't been in almost a year, which was weird since it was only an hour away. I liked knowing it was there, though. I couldn't imagine living in a state that didn't reach the ocean. It was a giant reset button.

Yeah that chapter made me miss the ocean too! I try to get there at least once a year. I was there back in September.
