Erratic Thinking on Thursday - What to do with books you just don't like.

Have you ever read a book and multiple times you find yourself making this face.
So far this year I am a little bit behind on my reading challenge. I'm trying to catch up but I've got to tell you it's hard when you pick up a book that just doesn't do it for you. I usually don't like to give up on a book, but so far there have been two that I kind of wish I had just put down half way through. I've decided that if I'm not liking a book at the half way point I'm going to put it down, and move on.

I may or may not come back to said book, but wasting a week and a half drudging through a book is just a waste. What do you do when you are having a hard time with a book?

  1. I keep reading until the mid-way point then I either put it on my swap shelf or back onto my reading pile for attempting at a later date.

  2. I'll give up the book if either page I picked for reading is dull.

  3. I usually give a book a fifty page run, and if it doesn't grab me by then, pass it on to someone else. LOL, love that picture. :)

    1. Glad to see I won't be the only one. I've finished way too many books that I should have just put down. NO MORE:)
